ABOUT US
Future Leaders California is a 501(c)(3) youth-development organization dedicated to empowering youth through mentorship, education, and the arts. FLC began its journey of investing in youth over a decade ago, with its conception beginning in 2014. Since that time, the organization has grown into a leading force serving at-promise youth throughout Southern California through three core initiatives: Project Elevate, Just Us Arts, and Teen Talk.
Future Leaders California has impacted more than 23,000 youth, helping participants gain admission to top institutions such as UCLA, NYU, Howard, and UC Irvine. Many of our alumni have gone on to become leaders in law, education, business, and community service, hence, living examples of what is possible when young people are equipped with the right support and opportunities.
At FLC, teens and young adults are exposed to meaningful resources, transformative experiences, and strategic opportunities designed to guide them into their professional lives. Our team works intentionally to identify barriers and actively provide the tools necessary for long-term success. In addition to academic mentorship, FLC provides workforce readiness training and connects participants to a broad professional network that opens doors to internships, career pathways, and long-term economic mobility.

Our goal is to cultivate a powerful network of youth and young adults across California and nationally: prepared to lead with integrity, purpose, and professionalism. Through our core tenets of responsible leadership, public speaking, positive and effective communication, professional development, and collaboration, we are shaping the next generation of leaders who are confident, community-minded, and future-ready.
OUR APPROACH
We provide mentorship specifically tailored to at-promise youth, encouraging the pursuit of education, the development of leadership skills, and active involvement in community improvement and civic engagement. Through our programs, participants build personal branding skills, cultivate self-confidence and self-awareness, and learn how to communicate effectively as they grow into tomorrow’s leaders.
For teens and young adults pursuing higher education, we extend hands-on support through the college admissions process, financial aid guidance, and scholarship navigation. Leadership development, professional identity, self-advocacy, and workforce preparation are reinforced through both one-on-one and group mentoring experiences embedded across our initiatives. FLC is intentional about integrating social-emotional learning practices.
COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS & COLLABORATION
Future Leaders California is proud to maintain long-standing partnerships with a diverse array of organizations, including multiple school districts, municipalities, state and federal agencies, and community-based organizations such as the Museum of Tolerance, to build strong, superlative community relationships. These collaborations are vital in expanding access to civic education, restorative practices, and culturally enriching leadership opportunities.
To further this mission, we are currently available for hire to bring our proven programming to your organization. Our comprehensive services include Project Elevate, which facilitates our Community Attendance Assistance Program (CAAP), Concrete Programs, professional development, and financial literacy through Future Founders; the Just Us Arts Initiative (JUA, I) featuring arts-based mentorship and Justice Sunday performances; and our Teen Talk (TT) suite, encompassing Youth 4 Justice, Youth Summits, and Advisory Committees for Law Enforcement. We offer our proprietary 4 E’s of Life Coaching curriculum, along with specialized training in rapport building, leadership, and conflict resolution.
